Geri received her Bachelor’s degree in the interdisciplinary studies of Psychology and Sociology, from ASU, in 2003. In 2005, she completed her Master’s degree in Direct Practice Social Work, also from ASU.
Geri is licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health as an LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker). License # LMSW-12142
She has worked with the public for over 20 years and provides a reality based, direct approach to therapy. She supports positive, problem-solving behavior and adopts a pro-active lifestyle. Geri strongly believes in identifying and using “our own” personal strengths, as we navigate through life’s challenges.
She utilizes Solution-focused, Cognitive Behavioral and Coaching techniques to illicit therapeutic change, in a warm and caring environment.
Geri has worked with the Criminal Justice System, dealing with issues of DUI, DV, Assault, Shoplifting, etc. In private practice, Geri works with issues of Anxiety, Anger, PTSD, Addictions, Depression, Mood Disorders, Self-Growth, Relationship struggles, and Court Ordered Clients. She uses a variety of therapeutic techniques to assist “Couples” in working through their issues. With the right tools and use of those tools, couples can make positive changes in their relationship.
Geri also works with at-risk youth, who can benefit from learning to understand their emotions and how to practice problem solving skills.
**Geri is being supervised by Katherine Bogushefsky-Reamer MC,LPC to complete her clinical hours for her clinical social workers license.
